Bethel Winter House 2017-2018 Report In it's 5th winter in operation, the Bethel Winter House was hosted by the Covenant Church. Between December 1, 2017 and March 31, 2018, the shelter was open every night from 9pm to 7am, and supervised by two employees whom the Shelter was able to hire with funds from a State of Alaska CIMG grant. The shelter also maintained an onsite security specialist from open at 9 PM until lights out at midnight. Donations from the community and local businesses made it possible for the shelter to serve hot meals 6 days per week.
